ANSI/ICEA S-91-661 - technical definition

The standard published by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Insulated Cable Engineers Association (ICEA) for Category 3 (Cat 3), Category 5 (Cat 5), and Category 5e (Cat 5e) individually unshielded twisted pair (UTP) indoor cable for use in general purpose and LAN communication wiring systems.
