co-channel interference - technical definition

The confusion in the tuning circuit of a wireless receiver due to a second wireless signal being detected with the same frequency. Due to weather conditions, wireless communications systems (radio, TV, etc.) in different locations that share common channels can experience co-channel interference. See co-channel.
