flat screen - technical definition

Typically refers to an LCD flat panel computer monitor or an LCD or plasma flat panel TV. However, in the last several years of their life, CRTs were made with flatter screens and advertised as flat screen TVs, often misleading the public into thinking they were LCD or plasma sets.
