Handle or Moniker - technical definition

Represent hackersÂ’ and crackersÂ’ pseudo identities. They are a carryover from the 414-gang. There is nothing evil or criminal about adopting a handle. Jeff Moss, the chief organizer of the yearly DefCon hacker convention in Las Vegas, for example, has the handle The Dark Tangent.
