IIA - technical definition

Stands for the Institute of Internal Auditors, an international organization based in Altamonte Springs, Florida. It was founded in 1941 and presently has more than 117,000 members worldwide. Because the organizationÂ’s mission includes education, research, and technological guidance for the auditing profession, it is an invaluable resource for everybody involved in computer forensic investigations.
