Kruegerware - technical definition

Software that degrades or destroys your computer. Also called a "Kruegerapp," the term may refer to spyware or page hijacking software that is difficult to remove. The reference is to Freddy Krueger, the gruesome character from the horror series "Nightmare on Elm Street."
