National Homeland Security and Combating Terrorism Act of 2002 - technical definition

In
2002, U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman, D-CT, brought in the National Homeland
Security and Combating Terrorism Act of 2002 to set up the Department of
National Homeland Security and the National Office for Combating Terrorism. The Act was sent to the
Committee on Governmental Affairs on May 2, 2002, and on June 24, 2002, it was
placed on the Senate Legislative Calendar. It was never passed in this form.
