NetWare SMP - technical definition

An extension to NetWare 4 that added SMP support. NLMs have to be written for SMP to take advantage of it. In NetWare 5, the Multiprocessor Kernel (MPK) natively supports SMP and can run an SMP-based NLM even if only one processor is used.
