In 1988, Kevin Poulsen was indicted in the United States on
phone tampering charges. He took over all the telephone lines going into radio
station KIIS-FM, assuring that he would be the 102nd caller and thus the winner
of a Porsche 944 S2. He pleaded guilty to the charges. He currently writes for
ZDNet and his Web page can be found at: http://www.iss.net/security_center/advice/Underground/Hackers/Kevin_Poulsen/default.htm.
