Prosecutorial Remedies and Tools Against the Exploitation of Children Today Act - technical definition

(legal term)

The intent of this Act was to strengthen the U.S. governmentÂ’s ability to prosecute crimes involving child pornography. The PROTECT Act of 2002 also attempted to extend prosecutorial power beyond U.S. jurisdictions. The Act was sent to the Committee on Judiciary on May 15, 2002. It became public law 108-21 as the Protect Act of 2003 on April 30, 2003.
