Protected Extensible Authentication Protocol - technical definition

Pronounced peep. An authentication type for wireless networks that provides a set of unique features, such as strong security, extensibility of the user database, and support for one-time password authentication, as well as the aging of passwords. PEAP is based on an Internet Draft (I-D) to the IETF.
