RGB triplet - technical definition

The numeric representation of an RGB color. Each red, green and blue color is expressed as an 8-bit number in decimal (0 to 255) or in hexadecimal (00 to FF). For example, solid red is 255,0,0 in decimal or FF,00,00 in hex. RGB is widely expressed in hex in HTML pages with a pound sign; for example, solid green would be #00FF00. See RGB and hex.
