The Berkeley rlogin utility allows remote users to obtain
access to a system without supplying a password
through the .rhosts mechanism, a list of host names and/or IP addresses considered to be trusted. Because it is considered to be
highly insecure, experts recommend replacing this service with the more secure
and encrypted SSH. If rlogin
access is required, the service should be protected by the use of TCP Wrappers.
