Shiva - technical definition

A leading remote access server manufacturer. Founded in 1985, Shiva's first products were its NetModem network modems for the Macintosh and later for PCs. Its LANRover is a proprietary remote access server, providing remote users access to LANs via modem. Shiva also developed the remote access software in Windows 95. In 1999, Shiva was acquired by Intel.
