solutions provider - technical definition

An organization that provides a mix of consulting services, custom programming and hardware to solve a customer's information problem. The hardware may be manufactured by the company, purchased from a third party or merely recommended. "Solutions" implies a range of custom-tailored services rather than only off-the-shelf packages.
