The file extension identifying files in the Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) format. See also TIFF.

A standard bitmapped file format commonly used for scanning, storage, and transfer of image files, including photographs and line art.The T.37 standard for Fax over Internet Protocol (FoIP) transmission, for example, specifies TIFF-F. TIFF files are identified by the .tif or .tiff file extension. See also FoIP.
