Trolling/Baiting/Flaming - technical definition

Abusive language that occurs in online communications and violates online etiquette. It is trying to intentionally inflame someone with baiting speech to elicit an angry, if not violent, response. An example of this kind of online language is “Plan to be dead!”

Those who engage in trolling or flaming online may get several warnings before a system operator bans them from the online experience. At other times, just one or two such offensive lines may bring strong and immediate action from the system operator.
