VGA feature connector - technical definition


A point-to-point channel used to transfer video signals between two video controllers, typically between the display adapter and a video capture or TV board. Using an 8-bit data path, it provides 40 Mbytes/sec bandwidth. The port is a 26-pin male connector or a 26-pin (13 per side) edge connector at the top of the VGA board. Feature Connector

The VGA feature connector is either a 26-pin male connector on the chip side of the VGA card or a 26-pin (13 pins on each side) edge connector on the top edge. Feature connectors were found only on a select number of display adapters.
