Referring to a link, circuit, or network that employs either radio frequency (RF) or infrared (IR) transmission medium, rather than a wired technology such as coaxial cable, twisted pair, or optical fiber. See also coaxial cable, IR, RF, optical fiber, transmission medium, and twisted pair.
